Rehabilitation Success Story - Michael Hill

Our experienced team gives their all to our residents and recognizes that it’s never about the role and always about the goal.


We love being able to celebrate our residents through their own success stories. We would like to recognize Mr. Hill for his triumph and for overcoming his battle with his health.

Mr. Hill first came to Keystone Pointe back in February after being diagnosed with pneumonia, Covid-19, and leukemia. When Mr. Hill first got here in February, he was unable to walk, dependent for bed mobility and transfers, unable to complete ADLs, and had confusion. While at Keystone Pointe, he received physical, occupational, and speech therapy multiple times during the course of his stay. He had a lot of ups and downs where he was sent back to the hospital but each time came back willing to work hard.

At discharge, Mr. Hill was able to complete all ADLS independently, was independent with bed mobility and transfers, cognitive skills were normal, and was able to walk over 200 feet with a rollator. With hard work and determination, Mr. Hill was able to discharge back home with his wife and beloved dogs! We are so proud of how far he has come and the work he put into getting there!
